What is EXIF Data?
EXIF (Exchangeable Image File Format) is standard information stored in digital photography files. When you take a photo, your camera records details about the scene and the device settings.
Common Tag Data:
- Camera Settings: ISO, Aperture (f-stop), Shutter Speed, Focal Length.
- Date & Time: The exact second the photo was taken.
- GPS Location: Latitude and Longitude (if location services were on).
- Copyright: Author and usage rights.
Why use a Local EXIF Viewer?
Most online tools require you to upload your image to their server. This is a privacy risk, especially if the photo contains GPS data of your home usage. LocalImageConverter reads the file directly in your browser using JavaScript, ensuring your location data stays private.
