You right-click an image on Google Images, select "Save Image As...", and instead of a nice .jpg, you get a .webp file. You double-click it, it opens in a browser, or Preview acts weird. You just want a normal image!
The macOS Struggle
While macOS Preview can open WebP files in newer versions, exporting them back to JPG often involves:
- Opening the file.
- File > Export.
- Changing the format dropdown.
- Sliding the quality slider.
- Clicking Save.
Doing this for 10 files is a nightmare.
The Browser Solution
Since you are already in your browser, just use LocalImageConverter.
- Drag your WebP files onto the window.
- Drop them.
- Download as JPGs.
It's faster than opening Preview, and you can do 50 files at once.
