Modern Twitch allows you to upload a single **112x112 px** or higher image, and they resize it for you.

If you want pixel-perfect control, you need three files: **28x28**, **56x56**, and **112x112** pixels.

Always save as **PNG** with transparency. A white box around your emote looks amateur.
